Job summary

South West Water in Exeter is seeking a committed OT Technician on a 12-month fixed-term contract to support the Alarm Rationalisation Project. You will configure telemetry, manage alarms, and work closely with the Alarm Rationalisation team to improve data quality and operational decision-making.

The role requires IT/OT experience, attention to detail, and willingness to obtain SC clearance. Competitive salary and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT or OT environments and ability to manage data configurations.
• Strong attention to detail with good organisational skills.
• Willingness to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC).

Responsibilities

• Implement telemetry configuration changes for the Alarm Rationalisation Project.
• Configure and optimise telemetry signals, alarms, system logic and charts in Regional SCADA Telemetry System.
• Coordinate and maintain a schedule of changes with stakeholders.
• Ensure telemetry data and alarms are clear and actionable for operations.
• Develop and maintain configuration templates and standard working methods.
• Provide regular progress updates on requests and changes.
• Support testing activities and identify process improvements.
