Job summary

Yorkshire Water is seeking a Senior Telemetry Support Analyst to join the IT team in Leeds. You will maintain and enhance telemetry and OT systems, lead complex technical support and drive continuous improvement to support customers.

The role requires strong SCADA knowledge, experience with telemetry services, and the ability to mentor others. Hybrid working (1-2 days in the Leeds office) and a 37-hour week are offered, with a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting and maintaining telemetry services and critical operational systems.
• Strong knowledge of SCADA systems in OT environments.
• Ability to read and interpret SQL scripts for troubleshooting.
• Experience leading and embedding technical and organisational change.
• Understanding of Enterprise Architecture principles (TOGAF).
• Knowledge of ITIL best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience mentoring colleagues to build technical capability.
• Proactive and organised with multi-priority management.

Responsibilities

• Lead third-line support for telemetry infrastructure and services.
• Act as SME for telemetry infrastructure and applications.
• Manage and resolve complex telemetry/OT incidents.
• Own OT and telemetry ticket queues and prioritise resolutions.
• Drive first-line resolutions and lead investigations.
• Manage patching, maintenance and upgrades of OT/telemetry systems.
• Identify and raise upgrade projects or schemes.
• Support planning, budgeting, resourcing and delivery of IT/OT capital projects.
• Ensure changes follow governance processes.
• Monitor telemetry/OT systems for faults and trends.
• Develop and maintain support plans and procedures.
• Document activities for the wider team.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to team members.
• Contribute to operational/telemetry business plans.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to meet operational needs.
