Job summary

Thames Water is seeking an OT Compute System Engineer to manage OT-specific enterprise systems and applications, ensuring secure, compliant, and reliable operations for customers and the wider business. You will patch and lifecycle-manage OT compute infrastructure, administer licences, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver new technical solutions including cloud-based options.

You will work with AD, SCCM, VMware, and other enterprise tech, participate in on-call rotations, and contribute

Qualifications

• HNC or equivalent in engineering or IT.
• Experience maintaining, patching, and supporting infrastructure.
• Security clearance to SC level.
• Experience with AD, SCCM, VMware, antivirus, and Azure.
• Networking knowledge (LAN/WAN).
• Understanding of SCADA or willingness to learn.
• PowerShell scripting or similar.
• Strong communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• ITIL/Agile/Waterfall/Lean delivery knowledge.
• Self-motivated and able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Maintain OT compute infrastructure and patching.
• Licence management and lifecycle management.
• Incident response and on-call support.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver new technical solutions including cloud.
• Ensure security compliance and audits across compute domains.
• Support 24/7 standby for critical OT systems.
