Job summary

Sword Group is seeking an OT Engineer to deliver hands-on OT cyber security activities across industrial and operational environments. You will work closely with consultants, engineers and client teams, and spend time on-site with control systems and supporting infrastructure.

Within our IACS community, you’ll join a team of OT engineers and cyber security specialists who collaborate on client engagements and share knowledge to evolve standards and ways of working across the practice.

Qualifications

• Experience in OT cyber security assessments and audits.
• Knowledge of OT networks, data flows and control systems.
• Ability to work on-site in operational locations.

Responsibilities

• Support OT and control system cyber security assessments and audits
• Participate in onshore and offshore site visits, including inventory gathering
• Assist with the creation and interpretation of OT network topology diagrams and data flows
• Support the implementation of baseline OT cyber security controls
• Deploy and configure security technologies, tools and controls within OT environments
• Assist in the development of customer-facing processes and procedures aligned to industry standards
• Support the rollout of standards, policies and ways of working across client environments

About the role:

As an OT Engineer, you will play a hands-on role in the delivery of OT cyber security activities across industrial and operational environments.

You’ll work closely with consultants, engineers and client teams to assess OT environments, gather technical information and support the implementation of security controls. The role involves time spent on-site in operational locations, working directly with control systems, networks and supporting infrastructure.

Our Industrial Automation & Control Systems (IACS) capability sits at the heart of how we support clients operating complex, safety-critical OT and ICs environments.

As part of this capability, you’ll join a community of OT engineers and cyber security specialists who work closely together across a range of operational contexts. You’ll work as part of delivery teams on client engagements, supported by experienced colleagues and closely connected to the wider practice.

Knowledge and experience from live environments are shared openly, helping the community grow and evolve over time. This includes regular collaboration with other OT engineers and consultants, access to senior technical support, and opportunities to develop your skills while contributing to the standards, methods and ways of working used across the practice.

As an OT Engineer, you will:
