Job summary

Circle Health Group is seeking a Theatre Practitioner to join the Scrub team at The Shelburne and Chiltern Hospitals in High Wycombe. This full-time role covers 37.5 hours per week with a salary up to £43,000 per year, depending on experience, training and qualification.

You will work across orthopaedic scrub and other specialisms, travel between sites for dual-site working, and ensure patient safety and infection control are at the core of practice.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (NMC) or HCPC-registered ODP with theatre experience.
• Experience in Scrub, anaesthetics, or recovery in a theatre environment.
• Good infection control, manual handling and patient safety knowledge.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to a dynamic theatre setting.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare instruments and maintain sterility; support anaesthetist with equipment and patient care.
• Set up operating theatres according to surgery type and patient needs.
• Check equipment and report faults; collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Contribute to a positive, efficient theatre environment and safe surgical lists.
