Circle Health Group’s The Chiltern Hospital in Great Missenden is seeking a Theatre Practitioner to join the theatre team. You will work 37.5 hours per week in a full-time Scrub role, with responsibilities across instrument preparation, sterility, assisting the surgical team, and patient monitoring, with dual-site working at Shelburne Hospital.

Applicants must be registered with NMC or HCPC, have orthopaedic scrub experience, and demonstrate infection control awareness, teamwork and strong

Competenze

• Registered Nurse (NMC) or Operating Department Practitioner (HCPC).
• Experience in theatre scrub, anaesthetics, or recovery.
• Understanding of infection control, manual handling, and patient safety.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to a dynamic environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Orthopaedic experience required.

Mansioni

• Prepare instruments, maintain sterility, assist surgeon, support anaesthetist, monitor patient, and ensure readiness for discharge.
• Adhere to infection control policies at all times.
• Set up operating theatres according to surgery type and patient requirements.
• Check surgical and anaesthetic equipment and report faults.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to run safe theatre lists.
• Support a positive, efficient theatre environment.
