Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (NMC) or Operating Department Practitioner (HCPC) required.
• Experience in a theatre environment, scrub, anaesthetics or recovery preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Assist the surgical team by preparing instruments and maintaining sterility.
• Support the anaesthetist with equipment preparation and patient monitoring.
• Position patients and assist with post-operative care and discharge readiness.
• Ensure infection prevention and control policies are followed at all times.
• Set up operating theatres according to surgery type and patient needs.
