Job summary

Spire Nottingham Hospital is seeking a Scrub Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner for a full-time theatre position. You will scrub for orthopaedic procedures and assist with perioperative care in a private hospital setting.

Role involves preparing equipment, supporting the theatre team and working with surgeons and anaesthetists. Registration as an RN or ODP is required, and own transport is preferred due to limited public transport.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner required.
• Experience in theatre, ideally orthopaedics.
• Strong clinical skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Scrub for orthopaedic procedures such as joint replacements and arthroscopy.
• Support the theatre team across the perioperative pathway.
• Prepare equipment and keep theatres safe and compliant.
• Work with surgeons, anaesthetists and the wider multidisciplinary team.
• Contribute to clinical quality, governance and continuous improvement.
• Support junior staff and help build a positive team culture.
