Job summary

Spire Southampton Hospital is recruiting for a highly motivated Perioperative Practitioner/SFA to join our Theatre Team on a permanent full-time basis. We welcome applications from an experienced ODP or Scrub Nurse with orthopaedic or cardiac scrub experience.

You will scrub for consultant-led surgeries, assess patients across a complex caseload and contribute to care plans within the operating theatre. The role offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must be registered with NMC or HCPC with no pin restrictions.
• Minimum 2 years scrub experience in orthopaedics or cardiac.
• Experience in a surgical/theatre setting is essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist in scrubbing for consultant-led surgeries across orthopaedics and cardiac cases.
• Assess patients’ health and wellbeing across a changing caseload.
• Develop care plans considering perioperative risks and patient wellbeing.
• Provide planned care and assist in managing care in the operating theatre.
