Somerset NHS Foundation Trust is looking for a Booking Officer for the Orthopaedic Assessment Service in Bridgwater. You will provide a patient-focused booking service, acting as the first contact point and coordinating appointments via eReferrals and Rio systems.

The role supports flexible working options and emphasizes excellent communication, admin accuracy, and sensitivity to patients' needs within an NHS environment.

Qualifications

• IT literate with basic admin skills.
• Experience in customer service or care.
• Experience in telephone communication and handling queries.
• Familiarity with hospital procedures and computer systems (RIO/Maxims).

Responsabilités

• Be the first point of contact for patients, relatives and carers.
• Book appointments using eReferrals and Rio systems with clinician guidance.
• Enter patient details into IT systems and update information as needed.
• Handle queries from patients, relatives, GP practices, clinicians and secretaries.
