Job summary

Somerset NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated and well-organised individual to join our Radiology central bookings team in Taunton. This full-time role (37.5 hours per week) provides high-quality booking services to patients, referrers and staff, operating within national targets.

You will be the first point of contact for inquiries, handle a high volume of calls, and work as part of a busy team to maintain smooth patient flow through outpatient pathways.

Responsibilities

• Answer inbound calls and make outbound calls to patients, referrers, relatives and staff throughout the day.
• Proactively engage with clinicians and patients to enable effective patient flow through the pathway.
• Manage patient lists in accordance with national and local targets to maximise outpatient slot efficiency.
