Job summary

GRS Group in Houghton Regis is seeking an Internal Sales and Customer Service Coordinator to join our on-site team. The role focuses on processing orders, delivering excellent customer service, and supporting sales across locations.

You will handle orders by phone, email, and EDI, liaise with internal and external sales, and work closely with plant managers to ensure timely deliveries. A proactive, can-do attitude is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Good at building relationships, a team player, competitive, self-motivated, tenacious, positive and creative.
• Previous order processing experience (Desirable).

Responsibilities

• Retail Customer Service
• Processing orders - manually and electronically.
• Taking orders via phone, email and EDI.
• Liaising with plant managers to ensure the smooth running of deliveries.
• Liaise with internal sales.
• Liaise with external sales.
• Establish a good working relationship with customers.
• Take customer calls, queries and complaints.
• Move orders between plants in a geographical and economical manner.
• Maximize daily plant capacities and hit budgets.
• Administrative tasks i.e. filing, answering phones, answering emails, checking orders.
• Responsibility for compliance and discharging legal duties with regards to HR and Health & Safety to promote a safe, equitable and legally compliant workplace.
