Job summary

Asda is looking for a qualified optometrist to join our Blyth team in a permanent part-time role (24 hours per week). You will screen patients, support the NHS service contracts, and help maintain high standards in the department while coaching colleagues.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified optometrist registered with the GOC.
• NHS area team or health board performer.
• MECs or WECs accreditation (or willing to gain within 12 months, funded by Asda).
• On track to meet CPD points requirement.

Responsibilities

• Screen patients for minor eye conditions and provide treatment as appropriate.
• Coach and train the wider team; maintain high departmental standards.
• Develop new patient services and ensure accessible eye care for customers.
• Collaborate with Optical Manager to deliver clinical and operational excellence.
