Job summary

Ace & Tate in Brighton is seeking an Optical Assistant to greet customers, offer style guidance and help them choose frames that feel right. You will explain lens options and coatings, plus ensure every pair leaves polished and ready to wear.

The role is part-time (8 hours) in-store with a pay rate of £13.11 per hour and a potential monthly bonus of up to 16% based on store performance. Benefits include holiday entitlement and wellbeing support.

Qualifications

• Experience in eyewear or retail preferred.
• Strong communication and appearance styling.
• Ability to explain lens options, coatings and frame fits clearly.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming vibe for every customer.
• Provide clear style advice and help customers find frames that suit them.
• Explain differences between lenses, coatings and fits to aid decisions.
• Polish lenses and adjust frames to ensure a sharp finish.
• Guide customers through lens upgrades and add-ons to meet needs.
