Job summary

Zest Optical in Brigg, North Lincolnshire, is seeking an experienced Optical Assistant to join a friendly, family-run independent practice. You will deliver personal service, dispense frames and lenses, and support patients through their journey from arrival to aftercare.

With a role based mainly in Brigg (and occasional time in Ashby), it offers 8:30–4:30, full-time or part-time options, and a pathway to senior positions.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an optical practice is essential.
• Confident dispensing skills and good optical knowledge.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Friendly and able to build rapport with patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide warm, professional service to patients.
• Dispense frames and lenses.
• Offer frame styling and lens advice.
• Handle collections, adjustments and minor repairs.
• Support patients from arrival to aftercare.
• Maintain stock and practice administration.
• Collaborate with optometrists and team.
• Split time between Brigg and Ashby practices.
