Job summary

Zest Optical are recruiting an experienced Optical Assistant for their Brigg practice in North Lincolnshire. You will join a friendly team delivering NHS and private eye care with responsibilities spanning dispensing, customer service, and aftercare support.

The role offers progression opportunities with a view to taking on greater responsibility, and may involve working Saturdays and stock/administration tasks across two sites.

Qualifications

• Experience in optical practice essential.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills required.
• Willing to work Saturdays as part of the rota.

Responsibilities

• Provide warm, professional service to patients.
• Dispense a wide range of frames and lenses.
• Advise on frame styling and lens choices.
• Complete collections, adjustments and minor repairs.
• Support patients from arrival through aftercare.
• Build relationships with a loyal patient base.
• Assist with ordering, stock management and general practice administration.
• Collaborate with Optometrists and the wider team.
• Split time between Brigg and Ashby practices, mainly Brigg.
