Job summary

Newmedica is seeking a Scrub Nurse/Practitioner to join our Northamptonshire site on a full- or part-time basis. You will provide scrub support to surgeons during daily theatre lists, ensuring patient safety and hygiene at all times.

Beyond theatre scrub duties, you will handle medicines management, auditing tasks, and maintain accurate patient records. You will also manage clinical waste disposal and contribute to delivering compassionate, high-quality eye-care services across our clinics.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent scrub provision and support the surgeon through theatre lists.
• Anticipate potential problems and resolve them.
• Assist with clean-down and ensure patient safety, clinical compliance, and hygiene.
• Undertake medicines management and audit duties.
• Maintain accurate patient records and manage clinical waste disposal.
• Offer empathetic and friendly care to put patients at ease during surgery.
