Optegra Eye Health Care is seeking an experienced Scrub nurse to join our dedicated team. You will provide skilled clinical and technical assistance in the operating theatre and may assist with peri-operative and post-operative care within the ophthalmic pathway.

The role requires registration (NMC/ODP) and ophthalmology or perioperative care qualification, with at least 1 year of ophthalmology theatre experience. Competitive benefits and training are provided.

Qualifications

• Registered General Nurse (NMC) or Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) with current registration.
• Ophthalmology or perioperative care qualification.
• At least 1 year ophthalmology surgical theatre experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Awareness of NMC Code of Conduct and patient privacy requirements.

Responsabilités

• Provide skilled clinical and technical assistance as part of the operating theatre team.
• Support peri-operative and post-operative care within the ophthalmic pathway.
• Anticipate needs of the surgical team with appropriate instruments and equipment.
• Ensure proper disposal, decontamination and sterilisation of reusable equipment.
