Job summary

Optegra Eye Health Care in North London (Colindale) seeks an experienced Scrub Nurse to join an amazing, supportive team at our prestigious private Eye Hospital. The role includes peri-operative care, skilled theatre assistance, and potential post-operative duties with funded training programs.

Qualifications

• Registered General Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner with current registration.
• NMC/ODP registration must be active and unrestricted.
• Qualification in Ophthalmology or perioperative care.
• Minimum 1 year ophthalmology surgical theatre experience.
• Computer and IT skills, e.g. MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all aspects of the Ophthalmic Surgical pathway under the operating theatre team.
• Provide skilled clinical and technical assistance in the theatre and peri-operative setting.
• Assist with minor operations and post-operative care as required.
• Ensure documentation for traceability is completed and maintained.

Education

NMC / OD P registration

General Nurse / ODP qualification

Ophthalmology or perioperative care qualification

1+ year ophthalmology theatre experience

IT skills (MS Office)
