Job summary

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is inviting applications for an Ophthalmic Imaging Technician based at Oxford Eye Hospital. The role covers a range of imaging procedures including OCT, fundus photography, corneal topography and visual field testing.

Applicants should have HVF imaging experience and be prepared to undertake OCT capture training. The position is full time, 37.5 hours per week, with occasional Saturday shifts.

Qualifications

• Previous experience with Humphrey visual field (HVF) testing and/or ophthalmic imaging.
• Basic understanding of human anatomy and willingness to develop knowledge.
• Excellent communication and patient-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering core ophthalmic clinical technical and imaging services.
• Be a member of the Imaging & Diagnostics team, ensuring high standards and confidentiality.
• Support the Head of Department in service development and maintain high clinical standards.
• Undertake administrative tasks, data processing and clinical audits as required.
• Develop knowledge to deliver patient care under supervision of an Ophthalmic Imaging Specialist.
