Job summary

Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust seeks an Ophthalmic Imaging Technician to join our busy eye clinic. You will perform patient histories, vision testing, and imaging assessments across retina, cornea, and anterior segment using state‑of‑the‑art equipment.

Working with Medical Illustration and the wider team, you will deliver high‑quality imaging with fundus cameras, OCT, and slit‑lamp systems, guiding patients through their diagnostic care.

Qualifications

• Qualified to ONC level (or equivalent).
• GCSE passes including English and Maths.
• Proven experience in ophthalmic imaging.
• Proficient in fundus cameras, OCT, and slit-lamp imaging systems.
• Excellent communication skills with patients.

Responsibilities

• Perform ophthalmic diagnostic clinics and patient histories.
• Conduct high‑resolution imaging of retina, cornea and anterior segment.
• Collaborate with Medical Illustration and imaging team.
• Explain procedures clearly and empathetically to patients.
