Job summary

VerseOne Group is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to join the Eye Unit Diagnostic Hubs. You will perform high-quality diagnostics using tools such as visual field tests, imaging, and medical photography under supervision, contributing to the virtual review by Doctors and Optometrists.

Training is provided; we value caring, empathetic professionals who are keen to learn and develop IT skills in a busy healthcare setting. A driving licence is essential as travel to multiple sites is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in ophthalmic diagnostics is not essential; willingness to learn is valued.
• IT literate and able to work in a busy clinical environment.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to skill development.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostics for Doctors and Optometrists to review remotely.
• Work within the Eye Unit Diagnostic Hubs centred on glaucoma and retinal cases.
• Collaborate with MDT colleagues to deliver a seamless ophthalmic service.
• May be required to work across MSE sites in South Essex and Chelmsford; driving licence is essential.
