Job summary

Veolia is seeking a hands-on waste collection operative based in Padworth, Reading. The role involves daily outdoor work, loading bins and servicing residential properties in West Berkshire. You will report issues via mobile devices and maintain high customer service standards.

Hours are 40 per week, Monday to Friday, with a 06:30 start. £13.47 per hour plus Veolia benefits, 20 days annual leave, pension, and volunteering day are offered.

• Ability to adhere to safety instructions.
• This role will suit people who like working outside in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Working as part of a team to collect waste from outside residential properties within West Berkshire.
• Manually pulling bins and loading them onto the refuse vehicle to tip the waste.
• Using your communication skills to deliver a high standard of service to the residents.
• Accurately recording work completed and reporting any collection issues onto mobile tablet devices provided.
• This role includes physical duties and you will be walking up to 10 miles per day in all weather conditions.
