Job summary

Veolia in Northampton is looking for a dedicated operative to join our waste management team. You will wear PPE, move and load waste, and report contamination and non-compliant waste batteries as part of a safety-minded team.

Hours are 40 per week, 08:00-17:00 with flexibility. Location: Northampton, NN5 5JE. Salary is £32,000 per annum plus Veolia benefits and opportunities for development.

• 360 & grab license.

Responsibilities

• Wear PPE.
• Move and load waste.
• Report contamination and non-compliant waste batteries.
• Report all service, safety and environmental concerns.
• Work as a team.
• Stay in contact with the team on 2 way radio.
• Look out for each other and our customers.
• Check all vehicles before using them, report defects.
• Stop the job if it's unsafe, report to line manager.
• Stay alert for fires, report smoke, smouldering and flames.
