Job summary

Mole Valley Farmers Limited in South Molton is seeking an Operations Team Member to help run the store day-to-day. You’ll help maintain stock accuracy, ensure product availability, and support safe, neat presentation to deliver a great shopping experience.

This part-time permanent role offers 14 hours per week across 3 of 5 days, with pay between £10.85 and £12.71 per hour, plus the benefits listed. Reporting to Imogen Charman, you’ll join a team dedicated to serving rural communities.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail or operational roles.
• Health & safety awareness and attention to detail.
• Good IT skills and confidence using business systems.
• AMTRA, BASIS, or knowledge of FIAS/UFAS/NOPS (desirable).
• NVQ or equivalent in retail (desirable).
• Excellent communication and a customer-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Completing stock checks, gap scans and replenishment picklists accurately and on time.
• Receiving deliveries and investigating discrepancies in orders or invoices.
• Maintaining stock file integrity and supporting inventory accuracy.
• Ensuring compliance with health & safety, food hygiene, and legal standards (e.g. NOPS, FIAS, HACCP).
• Supporting banking processes and reviewing daily reports for anomalies.
• Replenishing shop and yard areas to company standards.
• Supporting promotional activity and visual merchandising plans.
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation across the site.

About The Role

Contract: Permanent

Hours Part-time

Hours of Work: 14 Hours per week, working 3 out of 5 days

As an Operations Team Member, you’ll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the store, helping to maintain stock accuracy, product availability, and compliance standards. You’ll work closely with the wider team to ensure the store is well-presented, safe, and ready to deliver an excellent customer experience.
