Job summary

DHL Supply Chain Bridgwater is seeking a Transport First Line Manager to lead our daily transport operations, starting at 3am and working any 5 days out of 7, including alternate weekends, to ensure timely deliveries from Bridgwater site.

You will develop transport strategies, uphold safety and compliance, coach and motivate your team, and monitor performance to drive continuous improvement across the network, helping shape the future of logistics with DHL.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a team in transport/logistics or similar role.
• Comprehensive knowledge of supply chain practices.
• Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

• Take the Lead: Oversee our daily transport operations, ensuring timely and efficient deliveries to our customers

• Ensure Safety: Uphold the highest safety standards and compliance regulations, creating a safe and secure workplace for everyone.

• Analyse & Improve: Monitor performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement. Your analytical skills will help us deliver excellence every day!

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

• Previous and practical experience managing a team, either within the transport/logistics sector or in another operational environment; experience as a Transport Supervisor or Team Leader is highly desirable
• Comprehensive knowledge of supply chain practices
• Strong Communication skills
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
• Microsoft office package experience - essential
