Job summary

P J Chaffin Limited is seeking an Operations Support Co-ordinator to join our South East Arboriculture team. You’ll act as a central point of support across the business, helping keep operations running smoothly, training teams and coordinating scheduling, compliance and HR processes.

You will work closely with colleagues to deliver a safe, efficient and high‑quality service, bringing structure to busy operations and fostering positive relationships with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Training & Development: Supporting training plans, maintaining training records, assisting with apprenticeships and helping to onboard new starters.
• Operations & Scheduling: Supporting resource planning, procurement and plant/machinery hire, booking road space and keeping rotas up to date.
• Recruitment & HR Support: Working closely with HR and Operations to support recruitment, employee wellbeing initiatives and return-to-work processes.
• Employee Administration: Processing holiday requests through HR, checking timesheets and helping to resolve employee queries.
• Health, Safety & Compliance: Preparing RAMS, arranging site inductions and liaising with the Compliance team to ensure requirements are met.
• Project & Systems Support: Creating and maintaining jobs in Procore, updating budget and compliance information, and helping champion our Customer Charter.
• Finance Administration: Supporting invoice logs, financial tracking and forecasting activities.
• Community & Social Value: Getting involved in local projects and initiatives that create a positive impact in the communities where we work.
