Job summary

Fairford Associates in Suffolk seeks an Operations Manager to lead a ~90-strong security officer team. The role combines hands-on rostering, site allocation, and proactive engagement with officers and clients to ensure staff fit and coverage.

You will lead NSI gold and SIA audits, develop policies and procedures, write assignment instructions and risk assessments, and nurture long-standing customer relationships, with a flexible, out-of-hours readiness.

Qualifications

• Experience managing large security teams.
• Strong knowledge of NSI gold requirements and SIA regulations.
• Proven ability to improve policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Rostering the officer force (circa 90) using Logosoft and planning up to three months ahead.
• Take the lead for NSI gold and SIA audits and inspections.
• Improve policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.
• Write assignment instructions and risk assessments.
• Maintain and enhance customer relationships; respond to requests or issues promptly.
