Evri in Eurocentral is seeking an Operations Manager to lead the night depot operation, delivering service, cost, safety and efficiency targets while developing your team.

You’ll drive improvements, coach staff, and use management information to turn opportunities into measurable results in a fast-paced logistics environment. This role reports to the Eurocentral Depot Management Team with flexibility to cover five nights over seven.

• Full driving licence required; CPC National Certificate or willingness to obtain.

Location: Eurocentral Depot
Salary: £51,675 – £53,000
Shift: 5 nights over 7, with flexibility required to meet operational needs

We’re looking for an experienced and driven Operations Manager to join our Eurocentral Depot Management Team. This is a key leadership role where you’ll have the opportunity to make a real impact, leading our night operation, developing our people and delivering a great service for our customers.

The role

As Operations Manager, you’ll take ownership of operational performance, ensuring we deliver against our service, cost, safety and efficiency targets.

You’ll lead from the front, motivating teams, solving problems and making confident decisions in a fast-paced logistics environment. You’ll also proactively identify opportunities to improve the way we work and turn those opportunities into measurable results.

Every depot brings different challenges, but you won’t be tackling them alone. You’ll be supported by an experienced central team, senior managers and a strong network of peers, giving you the backing you need to succeed and continue developing your career at Evri.

What you’ll be responsible for

• Leading the depot operation and supporting teams to deliver an effective, dynamic and results-focused operation.

• Creating a high-performance culture where colleagues feel engaged, motivated and supported to succeed.

• Driving improvements across service, cost, productivity and operational efficiency.

• Ensuring Health & Safety requirements are met, with incidents and concerns appropriately reported, investigated and actions taken to reduce risk.

• Managing transport requirements in line with Operator Licence regulations.

• Managing working hours in line with Working Time Directive (WTD) and Agency Workers Regulations (AWR) requirements.

• Ensuring financial, service and enquiry reporting is completed accurately and within agreed timescales.

• Using management information to identify opportunities and deliver tangible performance improvements.

• Making operational and strategic decisions at pace and confidently following through on agreed actions.

What we’re looking for

You’ll be an experienced operational leader who is comfortable taking ownership and bringing out the best in others.

Ideally, you’ll bring:

• Previous leadership and people management experience, with a strong focus on coaching, motivation and development.

• Experience within logistics, transport, depot operations or third-party logistics.

• A track record of identifying opportunities for improvement and delivering measurable results.

• Confidence working with management information and Excel spreadsheets.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make effective decisions in a fast-moving environment.

• A full driving licence.

• A CPC National Certificate or equivalent, or a willingness to obtain this through Evri.
