Job summary

Evri at Pen Y Bont Depot is seeking a Day Shift Supervisor to lead a busy depot operation. You’ll manage up to 50 direct reports, set priorities, coach your team and ensure the shift runs safely and efficiently.

The role calls for strong leadership, decision-making under pressure, and a collaborative approach. Logistics experience is a plus, but leadership in fast-paced environments is also welcome.

Qualifications

• Previous management experience leading and motivating a team.
• Experience managing teams within a fast-paced logistics environment would be a strong advantage.
• The ability to use your own initiative and remain focused under pressure.
• Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Good PC skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• An understanding of Transport Regulations would be advantageous.
• A collaborative approach and the confidence to lead by example.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and provide direction to a team of up to 50 direct reports.
• Coach, develop and train colleagues to help them reach their potential.
• Drive performance and ensure Day shift SLAs are achieved.
• Ensure compliance with all site HSES rules and regulations.
• Process BI and MI reports relating to Driver and Loader performance.
• Manage changing priorities, deadlines and deliverables.
• Identify operational challenges and find practical solutions.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and take the lead on projects when required.
• Help create a positive, high-performing environment where everyone understands the part they play.
