Job summary

Evri in Avonmouth is seeking a Night Shift Manager to lead a dedicated team of Supervisors, Night Loaders, Sorters and Drivers. You will drive performance and ensure smooth night operations, processing parcels efficiently and keeping departures on time.

This role owns the night shift, targets key KPIs, manages budgets and labour, coaches on-shift leaders, and ensures compliance with the O Licence. The shift typically runs Tuesday to Saturday from around 23:00 depending on volumes.

Qualifications

• Experience leading and managing a team in a logistics setting.
• Able to work on own initiative in a pressurised environment.
• Strong IT skills, including MS Office.
• Knowledge of transport regulations and night operation practices.
• Excellent communication across all levels.

Responsibilities

• Manage all areas of the night warehouse sortation.
• Ensure depot KPIs such as sortation compliance and vehicle departure times are met.
• Budget management covering productivity and labour costs.
• Lead, coach, and develop on-shift Supervisors.
• Ensure compliance with the O Licence.

OurNight Shift Manageris a key role to ensure the smooth running of the Night operation in the Depot; where you will lead teams of Supervisors, Night Loaders, Sorters and Drivers in processing parcels delivered from client sites in to smaller geographic areas to be delivered to the final customer. The Nightshift Manageris fully accountable for the performance of theshift whilst proactively seeking ways to improve cost, service & operational efficiency.

• Manage all areas of the night warehouse sortation in an efficient cost-effective manner.
• Ensuring depot key KPI’s are achieved e.g. sortation compliance, Vehicle Departure times etc.
• Budget Management to achieve the agreed service levels including productivity, labour costs, overtime usage, Agency usage.
• To lead, coach and develop the supervisors on shift.
• To adhere to the legal requirements of the ‘O’ Licence.

Essential skills and experience required:

• Transport knowledge, skills or experience including regulations
• Managementexperience of leading and managing a team.
• Mustbe able to work on own initiative in a pressurised environment to tight deadlines
• PCLiterate with a working knowledge of Microsoft office
• Experienced of working in fast-paced logistics
• Goodcommunicator and able to liaise at all levels
