Job summary

DUAL is a specialist underwriting group, part of Howden, operating globally in 57 countries. We are seeking an Operations Manager (12 months FTC) to oversee underwriting operations, binding authority governance, and regulatory compliance across core functions.

The role requires coordinating underwriting, finance, compliance and technology teams to ensure controls and governance are strictly followed. The position focuses on improving efficiency, managing risk, and liaising with capacity

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in delegated authority operations within an MGA or carrier.
• Strong knowledge of binder governance and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with bordereaux, claims and underwriting finance processes.
• Organised and detail-focused with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive, solution-driven, able to work under tight deadlines.
• Adaptable to a rapidly changing business environment.

Responsibilities

• Support capacity provider requirements, including security letters and binder documentation.
• Assist with Binding Authority Agreements including renewals and profit commission calculations.
• Ensure compliance with FCA requirements and data protection and financial crime controls.
• Act as main contact for product governance to meet customer and regulatory expectations.
• Oversee bordereaux production, reconciliation and cash movements.
• Coordinate with underwriting, finance, compliance and technology teams.
• Manage relationships with third-party suppliers and drive process improvements.
