Job summary

Moxy Hotels managed by Hotel Co 51 UK is seeking an energetic hotel manager to lead front-line operations at our Edinburgh property. You will drive guest satisfaction, manage daily hotel activities, and empower a skilled team to deliver the Moxy brand experience with a fun, welcoming atmosphere.

Ideal candidates bring strong leadership, a passion for hospitality, and experience with Opera or similar PMS. You will ensure profitable operations, uphold safety standards, and promote Marriott Bonvoy

Qualifications

• Must have minimum 2 years hotel management experience.
• Must have minimum 2 years team management.
• Experience with property management systems ( Opera preferred).
• Knowledge of Point of Sale systems ( Micros preferred).
• Knowledge of food safety and licensing laws.

• Supports the Captain in all aspects of the management of the hotel.
• Deliver exceptional guest experiences and relationships.
• Recruit and develop a high-performing team.
• Ensure profitable hotel operation aligned with company goals.
• Enforce company policies and manage team effectively.
• Involved in day-to-day tasks of the team.
• Oversee Food & Beverage operations in the hotel.
• Manage room inventory and check-ins/outs.
• Uphold food safety and health & safety policies.
• Promote the Moxy brand and Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program.

Job description

Energetic multitasker who leads from the front to maintains a smooth hotel operation and inspires their team to overdeliver for guests by working hard and having fun. Maintains high standards for our guests, has an eye for detail, as well as a sound business understanding. Builds relationships with key partners and welcomes activity into the hotel by bringing the Moxy brand to life creating a fun and relaxed environment that makes guests feel at home.

Main Tasks And Responsibilities

• Supports the Captain in all aspects of the management of the hotel
• Customer service, guest relations and creating positive guest experiences
• Recruits and develops a team that delivers excellent service the Moxy way
• Ensure a profitable hotel operation in line with company goals
• Manage the team effectively and enforce company policies
• Actively involved in the day to day tasks of the team
• Managing Food & Beverage outlets the Moxy way
• Manage hotel room inventory and checking guests in/out the Moxy way
• Follow all food safety, licensing and health and safety policies to work safely
• Promote and support the Moxy brand and the Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program

We’re looking for someone with Moxie, which is all of these things:

• Have high energy and a fearless do-it-yourself attitude
• Good with people and enjoy chatting with guests
• Skilled multi tasker who can balance hard work with great service
• Know being relaxed isn’t the same as being lazy
• Clear communicator fluent in English (and other languages a plus!)

Useful Experience

• Must have minimum 2 years hotel management experience
• Must have minimum 2 years team management
• Must have property management system (preferably Opera) experience
• Knowledge of Point of Sale system (Preferably Micros)
• Knowledge of Food Safety & Licensing laws
• Knowledge of maintaining brand standards
• Event management, marketing or social media experience
• Personal experience of travel and travel industry
