Job summary

Hotel Co 51 is seeking an Operations Manager (Assistant Captain) for MOXY Edinburgh Airport. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring presence on the floor, supporting the General Manager, and driving guest satisfaction across front-of-house and F&B operations.

You will recruit and develop a strong team, ensure profitability, manage room check-in/out, uphold food safety and brand standards, and promote Marriott Bonvoy benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have minimum 2 years hotel management experience
• Must have minimum 2 years team management
• Knowledge of Food Safety & Licensing laws
• Property management system experience (Opera preferred)

Responsibilities

• Support the General Manager in all aspects of hotel operations
• Lead guest relations and ensure positive guest experiences
• Recruit and develop a service-focused team
• Manage Food & Beverage operations to MOXY standards

Operations Manager (Assistant Captain) - Moxy Edinburgh Airport

This position is based on a full time contract.

Gross salary - £competitive

We’re looking for someone who doesn’t just manage from behind a screen. Main Tasks and responsibilities

• Supports the General Manager in all aspects of the management of the hotel
• Customer service, guest relations and creating positive guest experiences
• Recruits and develops a team that delivers excellent service the Moxy way
• Ensure a profitable hotel operation in line with company goals
• Manage the team effectively and enforce company policies
• Actively involved in the day to day tasks of the team
• Strong Food & Beverage background - you know the ins and outs of running an F&B operation.
• Managing Food & Beverage outlets the Moxy way
• Manage hotel room inventory and checking guests in/out the Moxy way
• Follow all food safety, licensing and health and safety policies to work safely
• Promote and support the Moxy brand and the Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program

We’re looking for someone with Moxie, which is all of these things:

• Have high energy and a fearless do-it-yourself attitude
• Good with people and enjoy chatting with guests
• Skilled multi tasker who can balance hard work with great service
• Clear communicator fluent in English (and other languages a plus!)

Useful Experience

• Must have minimum 2 years hotel management experience
• Must have minimum 2 years team management
• Must have property management system (preferably Opera) experience
• Knowledge of Point of Sale system (preferably Micros)
• Knowledge of Food Safety & Licensing laws
• Knowledge of maintaining brand standards
• Event management, marketing or social media experience
• Personal experience of travel and travel industry
