Job Description:

Our hub in Stansted requires a qualified and motivated individual to join the operations maintenance team as a Skilled Technician.

The role ensures that all plant and equipment on site is repaired and serviced to recognised standards and as identified within the preventative maintenance schedule, ensuring minimum downtime of sortation equipment.

The Operations Maintenance Technician role involves:

1. Organising team maintenance and required equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation and maintenance of machinery within operational timeframes.
2. Monitoring staff attendance and taking remedial action where necessary.
3. Supervising maintenance team performance and completing required documentation.
4. Monitoring workflow, identifying potential problems, and taking corrective actions.
5. Coordinating with Depot and Operations Managers, Section Leaders, and Control Room to resolve issues.
6. Ensuring smooth traffic flow across machinery with attention to Health and Safety.
7. Completing all information recording sheets accurately each night.
8. Adhering to operational and maintenance procedures from the Group Operations Manual to maintain customer service standards.
9. Ensuring equipment is returned to designated areas, maintained in safe working order, and defective equipment is reported.

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, organized, hold a City and Guilds Electrical/Mechanical engineering qualification, and possess:
