Job summary

Howden is seeking a Business Systems & Data Lead to drive operational delivery and data governance within transformation programs. You will translate business needs into technology-enabled solutions, own data remediation initiatives, and push continuous improvement across multiple workstreams.

You will work with stakeholders across business and tech, manage resources, and report performance using Power BI. The role offers hybrid working and opportunities to grow into line management as the team

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in business analysis, business systems, or operations in insurance/financial services.
• Strong systems knowledge across policy administration systems.
• Experience owning data remediation and data quality initiatives with governance and compliance.
• Experience leading system, data or process workstreams through change and transformations.
• Track record of continuous improvement using technology and automation.
• Proficiency in SQL, Power BI, and Microsoft Office; knowledge of XML, VBA, PowerShell advantageous.
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to translate technical detail for non-technical colleagues.
• Highly organized with planning across multiple concurrent workstreams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operational delivery for projects and translate needs into technology-led solutions.
• Coordinate data remediation and governance across platforms and projects.
• Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve service delivery.
• Lead system, data or process workstreams through change and transformation activities.
• Support resource planning and produce operational performance reporting with dashboards (Power BI).
• Influence across business and technology audiences; build strong relationships with stakeholders.
• Foster future leadership by sharing knowledge and supporting junior colleagues as the team grows.
