Job summary

Howden is seeking an Assistant Operations Manager to drive technology-led transformation within the Transformation and Strategic Programme Team. You will oversee operational delivery, coordinate data remediation, and lead improvement initiatives across platforms and projects.

The role focuses on translating data and system knowledge into operational impact, with progression into line management as the team expands.

Qualifications

5+ years in a business analysis, business systems, or operations role, ideally in insurance.
Experience coordinating data remediation and data governance across platforms.
Strong stakeholder management and ability to translate technical detail for non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day operational delivery for specific projects, using technology and process expertise to identify and lead improvements that make delivery more efficient, reliable and scalable.
Coordinate data remediation and maintenance across platforms and projects, addressing data quality issues and ensuring governance standards.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives from idea through implementation, owning team tools and workflows.
Drive change and project delivery across acquisitions, migrations and platform upgrades with on-time, high-quality outcomes.
Support resource planning and produce operational performance reporting using data and dashboards (e.g., Power BI).
Influence across business and technology audiences, translating technical detail for non-technical stakeholders and building relationships.
Develop leadership foundations to enable future line management as the team grows.
