Operations Controller - Lutterworth

Our Lutterworth site has an exciting opportunity for an Operations Controller to join their team on a full-time permanent basis.

Salary: £29,000 per annum

Working hours: 4 on 4 off, 6am-6pm

Role Overview

As the Operations Controller, you will support the successful daily operation of the warehouse by managing schedules for inbound receipts and outbound loads efficiently.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Managing outbound schedules to ensure timely collection and delivery.
  2. Issuing instructions to staff to maintain smooth inbound and outbound operations.
  3. Controlling outbound paperwork with 100% accuracy.
  4. Serving as the initial contact for all drivers on site.
  5. Communicating issues promptly to Shift Managers to minimize disruptions.
  6. Participating actively in the operations team, offering suggestions for improvements.
  7. Maintaining good communication with transport providers to prevent delays.
  8. Providing detailed handovers to the next shift, highlighting issues and current status.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in a similar fast-paced role.
  • Ability to prioritize based on schedules and resources.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook with high attention to detail.
  • Team player capable of working independently.
  • Knowledge of on-site systems, including Autostore and RF kit.
  • Strong communication skills and professionalism with customers and third-party hauliers.
  • Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
