ARR Craib Transport Ltd in Inverness is seeking an Operations Assistant for a full-time role, Monday to Friday, 08:30–17:30, with a salary of £31,000–£35,000 per year and excellent benefits. The position involves planning inbound/outbound loads, monitoring KPIs, and coordinating with Customer Service to meet customer requirements.

You will provide holiday cover for the Depot Manager and Transport Operators, answer queries by phone/email/in person, and ensure contracted work is delivered to

Qualifications

• Experience in the transport/logistics industry preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload.
• Ability to work to deadlines and work solo or as part of a team.
• MS Office suite experience (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Good geographical knowledge of the Highlands area.

Responsibilities

If "YES" we want to hear from you!! About the Role As a Operations Assistant, you will: Assist with planning loads (inbound and outbound) delivery for the operation whilst monitoring KPI for delivery on time, shift revenue and vehicle utilisation.

Working with the Customer Service Team to ensure deliveries are scheduled as per customer requirements.

Provide holiday cover for Depot Manager and Transport Operators.

Answering all customer queries via email, phone, and face to face.

Ensuring that all contracted work is covered in line with customer expectations.

Communicating collection times and delivery bookings with customers.

Adherence to policies and procedures within the Business Area.

Assist Depot Manager with carrying out Risk Assessments.

Essential Skills and Qualifications Previous experience of working within a similar role in the logistics industry would be advantageous but not necessary.

Strong geographical knowledge of the highlands area would be beneficial.

Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

Excellent organisational skills and prioritising workload.

Working to deadlines.

Solution driven and flexible approach to your work.

Able to work as part of a team and on own initiative.

MS packages to include, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
