Job summary

ARR Craib Transport Ltd. is seeking a Class 1 Driver to trunk goods from Inverness depot to Cambuslang and back, with local deliveries on return. You will operate curtain-sided refrigerated trailers, secure loads, and perform daily safety checks.

Shifts start between 17:00 and 18:00, on a 4 on 4 off rota. Benefits include a referral bonus (£500) and additional night-work pay. Training provided and overtime available.

Qualifications

• Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence.
• Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
• Experience of refrigerated trailers and tail lifts is preferred but not essential as full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

About the Role

As a Class 1 Driver, you will:

• Trunk from the depot in Inverness to Cambuslang and reload back to Inverness. Carry out 2xlocal deliveries following return to Inverness depot.
• Use a curtain sided trailer to drop refrigerated products in cages to retail stores.
• Ensure goods are loaded and secured correctly to prevent shifting or damage. Use straps, nets, and other securing devices as needed.
• Perform comprehensive daily vehicle safety checks using your company phone to maintain top-notch vehicle safety and reliability.
• Stay in regular communication with the transport team to provide updates on your progress and ensure our customers' expectations are met.
• Participate in regular training sessions to stay ahead with the latest industry standards and best practices.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

• Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence.
• Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
• Experience of refrigerated trailers and tail lifts is preferred but not essential as full training will be provided.
