Job summary

ARR Craib Transport Ltd in Inverness is seeking an Operations Assistant for a full-time role, Monday to Friday, 08:30–17:30, with a salary of £31,000–£35,000 per year and excellent benefits. The position involves planning inbound/outbound loads, monitoring KPIs, and coordinating with Customer Service to meet customer requirements.

You will provide holiday cover for the Depot Manager and Transport Operators, answer queries by phone/email/in person, and ensure contracted work is delivered to

Qualifications

• Experience in the transport/logistics industry preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload.
• Ability to work to deadlines and work solo or as part of a team.
• MS Office suite experience (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Good geographical knowledge of the Highlands area.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning inbound and outbound loads and monitor KPI for delivery on time and vehicle utilisation.
• Coordinate with Customer Service to schedule deliveries per customer requirements.
• Provide holiday cover for Depot Manager and Transport Operators.
• Answer customer queries via email, phone and face to face.
• Ensure contracted work is covered per customer expectations.
• Communicate collection times and delivery bookings with customers.
• Assist Depot Manager with risk assessments.
