Job summary

William Wilson is hiring a Warehouse Operative/Delivery Driver 3.5t in Cupar, Fife (KY15 4RD) to join their Wolseley team. The role involves delivering plumbing and heating supplies, assisting customers at the trade counter, handling deliveries and stock in the warehouse, and providing top-notch service within a ~30 mile radius.

The position is full-time, with 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08:00–17:00 and Saturday rota 09:00–12:00.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence essential.
• Plumbing & heating knowledge advantageous.
• Prior multi-drop experience preferred.
• Face-to-face sales and customer service experience.
• Warehouse experience and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Drive a 3.5t automatic van to deliver plumbing and heating supplies within ~30 mile radius.
• Assist trade customers at the counter with advice and product recommendations.
• Respond to customer enquiries by phone & email promptly and courteously.
• Process deliveries per paperwork, handle discrepancies, and stock warehouse areas.
• Pick and pack items including heavy goods such as boilers, sinks, radiators and toilets.

This is a Full Time permanent position working 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday 08.00am - 5.00 pm and Saturday on a rota basis 09.00am - 12.00pm.

• Driving a 3.5t automatic van to deliver plumbing and heating supplies to local customers - generally within a 30 mile radius
• Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing advice and product recommendations
• Responding to customer enquiries via phone & email promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude
• Ensuring that all incoming deliveries comply with the delivery paperwork, handle discrepancies appropriately and put stock away in the warehouse
• Picking and packing items to fulfil customer requirements which will involve manual handling of heavy items e.g. boilers, sinks, radiators, and toilets

• A Full UK Driving Licence is essential

• Previous Face to Face sales and customer service experience
