Baca Charity in Cambridge is seeking an Operations Assistant to provide administrative and operational support across its services. The role supports the Operations Manager and teams to ensure systems, premises and resources are well managed to enable safe, high-quality services for young people.
The role requires a highly organised, practical and dependable candidate with strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate clearly with colleagues, volunteers and external stakeholders.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (with some evening and weekend hours where necessary)
Contract type: Permanent
Salary: £25,500 plus Cambridge Living Allowance of £2301 a year.
Location: Baca office, Cambridge, England with regular travel to Cambridge and locations of service delivery.

We are looking for an Operations Assistant to provide effective administrative and operational support across Baca. Working closely with the Operations Manager and teams across the organisation, you will help ensure that our systems, processes, resources, premises and equipment are well managed so that staff can deliver safe, effective and high-quality services to young people.
You will be a highly organised, practical and dependable individual who enjoys supporting others and getting things done. You will be confident managing routine administration while responding effectively to changing priorities and unexpected operational needs.
You will have a positive, collaborative approach, strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate clearly and sensitively with colleagues, young people, suppliers and external stakeholders.
You will be committed to safeguarding and to creating safe, welcoming and inclusive environments for young people who have experienced migration, trauma and displacement.
Please note: You must have the right to work in the UK.
A full UK driving licence, or a licence that legally allows you to drive in the UK, is desirable for this role as it involves regular travel to Baca properties and the procurement and transportation of items required to support service delivery, activities and operational requirements.
Successful candidates will be asked to apply for an Enhanced DBS Certificate including a check of the children’s barred list.
