Job summary

British Pregnancy Advisory Service (BPAS) in Bournemouth is seeking a part-time Admin Assistant to support the unit with daily administrative and client-facing tasks. The role involves handling appointments, paperwork, and receptionist duties in a busy office environment.

You will be part of a friendly team, delivering compassionate care and ensuring accurate documentation. The position requires 15 hours per week across Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, with shifts scheduled 9:00-15:00 on

Do you have experience ofgeneral administrative procedures?

We are looking an experienced Admin Assistant to come and join our unit in Bournemouth on a part time basis . As the Admin Assistant you will be responsible for completing all administrative and client support tasks within the unit, supporting clients through their episode of care.

This unit-based role is working 15 hours per week on a Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. A detailed shift pattern and salary information can be found below in the further information section.

About You

You will have strong experience of working within an office environment, where you havecarried out administration duties. You will be an excellent communicator bothinternally and externally and will demonstrate a friendly and positive attitudewhen interacting with clients, colleagues, and external parties.

Main duties of the job
  • Answer and direct telephone queries, liaising with both internal and external colleagues, as necessary.
  • Accurately check or complete BPAS and legal paperwork, ensuring allrelevant documentation is available for the clients episode of care.
  • Monitor, edit and amend appointment list, using as appropriate BPAS bookingsystem, informing clients if changes to their appointment become necessary.
  • Assist in the monitoring, control and ordering of stock, sort anddistribute incoming mail and prepare and dispatch statistical information andreports.

We are also lookingfor:

  • Experience of dealing face to face with clients who may be angry or upset,within a care environment.
  • Knowledge of clerical procedures including checking documentation,telephone, and reception duties.
  • Good attention to detail, supportive towards colleagues and clients and an effective team player.

Salary

£24,484 - £27,583 per annum pro rata (£13.08 - £14.73ph). Depending on skills and experience.

Wednesday 09:00-15:00 | Thursday 10:00-15:00 | Friday 10:00-14:00
