Job summary

William Wilson in Aviemore is seeking a Part Time Sales Assistant/Warehouse Operative to support customers and stock flow. This 20-hour-per-week role runs Mon–Thu 08:00–13:00 on-site at the Aviemore branch, with a competitive package including bonus and benefits.

The role requires a full UK manual driving licence, and previous face-to-face sales or warehouse experience is preferred. Plumbing and heating knowledge is advantageous, and a positive, team‑oriented attitude is essential.

Responsibilities

• Serve customers on the trade counter with product recommendations.
• Respond to customer enquiries via phone and email promptly.
• Ensure deliveries comply with paperwork; handle discrepancies and stock warehouse entries.
• Pick and pack items to fulfil customer requirements, including heavy items.
• Occasionally drive a 3.5T van to deliver plumbing and heating supplies locally.

As a Part Time Sales Assistant/Warehouse Operative based in Aviemore, you’ll be responsible for:

• Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing advice and product recommendations
• Responding to customer enquiries via phone & email promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude
• Ensuring that all incoming deliveries comply with the delivery paperwork, handle discrepancies appropriately and put stock away in the warehouse
• Picking and packing items to fulfil customer requirements which will involve manual handling of heavy items e.g. boilers, sinks, radiators, and toilets
• On occasion driving a 3.5T van to deliver plumbing and heating supplies to local customers

This is a Part Time permanent position working 20 hours a week, Monday to Thursday 08.00am - 1.00pm
