Job summary

British Engineering Services Group is seeking an Operations Administrator in Rotherham to support day-to-day operations, orders, stock management and admin tasks. The role focuses on accurate order processing, inventory handling and customer communication to ensure a smooth operation.

The successful candidate will have administration experience, strong organisational and communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Part-time 32 hours/week, fixed-term 12 months, salary £23,052.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in an administration or office support role.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage your own workload effectively.
  • A high level of attention to detail and accuracy in your work.
  • The ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Confidence when dealing with customers over the phone and by email.

Responsibilities

  • Process customer orders accurately and efficiently for our Oil Laboratory.
  • Manage the Goods In and Goods Out process, from ordering and receiving stock to shipping products.
  • Monitor stock levels and maintain accurate records.
  • Create invoices for oil analysis services and support billing activities.
  • Process supplier invoices and work with our Accounts Payable team to ensure timely payments.
  • Respond to customer enquiries via phone and email, providing support or directing queries where needed.
  • Maintain organised records through document scanning, filing, and general administration tasks.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the business to support operational success.

What will you be doing?

As an Operations Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operation of the business, ensuring customer orders, stock management, and administrative processes run smoothly. You'll work closely with colleagues across multiple departments and help deliver an excellent experience for our customers.

You will:
