Job summary

Caron Group is seeking a Group Operational Support to provide flexible, hands-on backing to operations directors, regional managers and multiple care homes across Wales.

The role requires practical care delivery understanding, strong administration, and the ability to move between services to meet operational needs. A Level 4/5 Leadership and Management qualification is part of the development plan.

Qualifications

• Essential requirements include Level 3 QCF/NVQ in Health & Social Care or equivalent.
• Practical experience delivering personal care within health or social care.
• Understanding of care home regulation and compliance in Wales.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on operational support to care homes across Wales.
• Support homes with safe, effective and person-centred care and, where necessary, work alongside care teams in the service.
• Assist Home Managers with care documentation, audits, action plans, quality assurance and maintaining regulatory standards.
• Have a good working knowledge of regulatory requirements affecting care homes in Wales, including CIW and related acts.
• Assist homes in preparing for CIW inspections, contract monitoring visits and quality audits.
• Support the administration of homes, including staff files and compliance records.
• Support managers with staffing matters including recruitment, induction, supervision and absence management.
• Provide additional support to homes with operational challenges and implement improvement plans.
• Provide temporary management support or act as senior person within a home during management absence.
• Understand and support commercial performance of each home and resource use.
• Collaborate with the Operations Director and provide progress updates.
