Job summary

Leaders in Care is seeking a Regional Support Manager to lead and stabilise multiple care homes across South Wales. You will provide hands-on leadership during vacancies and change programmes, ensuring person-centred care while maintaining strong workforce and financial performance.

Working alongside Regional Directors, you will implement improvement plans, coach Home Managers, and support regulatory readiness. A field-based role with extensive travel requires resilience and strategic thinking.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with an NMC PIN or equivalent.
• Registered Manager Award or Level 5 Leadership qualification, or willingness to achieve.
• Significant care home management or senior operational leadership experience.
• Proven improvements during periods of change or transition.
• Knowledge of CQC/CIW/Regulator requirements.
• Leadership, coaching and people management skills.
• Experience managing budgets, occupancy and commercial performance.
• Understanding safeguarding, MCA and DoLS.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership to homes requiring support, including during regulatory intervention or change.
• Assess priorities and implement structured, measurable improvement plans.
• Drive care quality, compliance, staffing, and performance improvements.
• Coach Home Managers and leadership teams to build capability.
• Oversee safeguarding and respond to incidents to prioritise resident wellbeing.
• Support homes during inspections and regulatory improvement activity.
• Manage budgets, occupancy and financial performance.
• Build relationships with residents, families, commissioners and external professionals.
• Provide management cover and register as Home Manager where required.
• Contribute to regional improvement projects and wider changes.
