Job summary

DWP invites you to join the Digital Transformation Group as an Operational Management Information Developer. You will shape services that support millions of UK customers by delivering high-quality MI, dashboards and analytical products using Power BI and SQL.

You will work across Working Age data and performance teams, collaborating with senior stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and evidence-based decisions at scale in a hybrid working environment.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills to interpret complex operational data.
• Proven leadership to collaborate, influence stakeholders and drive positive outcomes through data-led insight.
• Experience leading change and service improvement, taking projects from concept to delivery while influencing others to achieve objectives.
• Strong decision-making skills with the ability to interpret complex data, apply sound judgement and make evidence-based recommendations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence presenting complex findings and recommendations to senior leaders.
• Experience using SQL or similar data manipulation tools, version control such as Git, and Power BI or similar visualisation software.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality management information, dashboards and analytical products using Power BI and SQL.
• Transform complex data into meaningful insights to support operational and strategic decision making.
• Identify trends, measure performance and uncover opportunities to improve service delivery across Universal Credit and Labour Market services.
• Collaborate with operational colleagues, digital teams and senior stakeholders, including Directors and Ministers, to influence decisions through evidence-based analysis.
• Lead analytical projects and communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
