Job summary

DWP Digital is seeking an Operational Management Information Developer to shape services through data and insight, supporting millions of UK customers. You will contribute across the Working Age Data and Performance Team, delivering analysis, dashboards and performance reporting to drive continuous improvement.

You will transform complex data into meaningful insights using Power BI and SQL, collaborate with senior stakeholders, and influence decisions with evidence-based findings.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and analyse complex operational data.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to collaborate, influence stakeholders and drive data-led insight.
• Experience leading change and service improvement, taking projects from concept to delivery while influencing others to achieve objectives.
• Strong decision-making skills with the ability to interpret complex data, apply sound judgement and make evidence-based recommendations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence presenting complex findings and recommendations to senior leaders.
• Experience using SQL or similar data manipulation tools, version control such as Git, and Power BI or similar visualisation software.

Responsibilities

• As an Operational Management Information Developer, you will play a key role in using data and insight to help shape services that support millions of customers across the UK.
• You'll work in our Working Age Data and Performance Team - at the heart of DWP's Digital Transformation Group - providing analysis and performance reporting that drive continuous improvement across Working Age services.
• You'll develop high-quality management information, dashboards and analytical products using tools such as Power BI and SQL, transforming complex data into meaningful insights that support operational and strategic decision making.
• By combining data from multiple sources, you'll identify trends, measure performance and uncover opportunities to improve service delivery across Universal Credit and Labour Market services.
• You'll work with operational colleagues, digital teams and senior stakeholders, including Directors and Ministers, and influence decisions through evidence-based analysis. You'll lead analytical projects and communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
